Going away for a few days? Fill a drink bottle with water, screw it into one of these spikes, push the spike into the pot and turn the valve to set how fast it drips. Your plant gets a slow, steady drink instead of drying out.
Why gardeners like it
- Adjustable drip valve sets the flow from a steady trickle to a slow drip.
- Uses bottles you already have – most standard drink bottles fit.
- No tools or tubing: screw on, turn over, push into the soil.
- Slim spike slides into houseplant pots, planters and hanging baskets.
- The supplier rates one fill at 1–15 days, depending on the valve setting and bottle size.

Questions
Which bottles fit?
Most soda and juice bottles. The supplier notes that some thin-necked mineral water bottles don't fit, so check the neck size first.
Should I make a hole in the bottle?
Yes, poke a small air hole in the bottom of the bottle so the water flows evenly.
