Fill a glass globe, push its stem into the pot, and let the soil take water as it dries. A handy way to keep houseplants and patio pots going through a long weekend or a busy week, and the ribbed glass catches the light while it works.

Why gardeners like it
  • Waters as the soil dries: water seeps out of the stem slowly instead of all at once.
  • Clear glass so you can see at a glance when a globe needs a refill.
  • Long 9" stem reaches down to the root zone of medium and large pots.
  • Set the angle to tune how fast it empties.
  • Two per pack, in iridescent clear or green glass.

Questions

How long does one fill last?

It depends on the pot, the plant and the room. A globe empties faster in dry, warm soil and slower in moist soil. Check it after a day or two to learn your plant's pace.

How do I fill and insert it?

Water the plant first, make a hole in the soil with a stick or pencil, fill the globe about 80% full, cover the stem tip with a finger, turn it over and push it in.

It empties too fast. What can I do?

Insert it at a steeper angle, push it deeper into firm soil, or plug the stem tip loosely with a small piece of cloth or paper towel.
